As stated earlier our internal systems keep operating 24 hours. We cannot give them complete rest. However, we can stop other activities when we sleep. The internal systems also slow down when we sleep. That is why enough sleep is necessary.
Normally 6-7 hours of sound sleep is sufficient for a healthy individual. However, it may differ from person to person. To have a sound sleep, follow certain norms. Avoid irritating discussions. Avoid screen time like TV and mobile phones, at least one hour before sleeping.
